    Good Tv
(Tangaza College, 2009) Muchoki, Consolata, Wanjiku
Television is a very influential piece of technology in this day and age. It is viewed as a tool of socialization especially for the children and the youth.' In view of the changing times, most parents are busy working full time leaving the care of their children in the hands of strangers in the form of nannies and house helps most of who already have other jobs to take care of These children grow into youths being socialized by television thus believing that what they view is the right thing or the norm in society. Television has however been viewed as a negative influence. It is blamed for the steadily rising rates of violence among the youth. Countless papers have been written to prove this phenomenon and several theories created to prove how television is achieving this negative influence. Programming times and content are blamed for the negative behavior trend. I however seek to show that television can also be used to create a violent free youth culture.
