Under the qualitative method, in-the depth interview method was adopted to generate robust and detailed data from the respondents. Also, the data generated were analyzed qualitatively using thematic content analysis and simple description which was preceded by transcription of data from the recorder. It was revealed that social control helps society to be united in following societal norms and values. Furthermore, the result of this study showed that, rational choice among young adults is concerned with finding given individual goals on the basis of expectation about future outcome of their decisions. The current status of traditional social control needs to be reviewed. The need for an integration of traditional and modern social control mechanism is important in ensuring a holistic social control system.
