- ItemThe Emerging New Concept Of Ad Gentes In Redemptoris Missio Chapers 4 & 5.(Tangaza University College, 2003) Moises, Garcia GonzalezIn this essay we shall try to understand more the meaning of Ad Genies Mission in Ad Genies Decree and Redemptoris Missio. As we have heard the word mission has had various applications, and meanings, particularly if we see that in the "Ad Genies decree there are old and foretells new concepts that we see in (Decree Ad Genies, Redemptoris Missio). They are related to the Missionary activity of the Church. As well as all those missionaries, priest, religious, brothers, sisters, lay people, in collaboration with social organizations who are working in the mission field, beyond their frontiers announcing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It involves too all those religious people who are enclosure offering their prayers to the building of God's Kingdom. During the development of this essay .I shall use some documents of the Church, comments of missiologists, and theologians who speak about "The Missionary activity of the church". Just to make us to understand the development of the concept Ad Genies, we will focus on the implementations in Redemptoris Missio chapters 4 & 5. Which make us aware once again about our obligations as members of the Catholic Church, in order to obey the commandment of Christ, "Go, therefore to preach the Gospel to all creature." (Mk 16:15). To the modem Areopagus. The encyclical Redemptoris Missio encourages us to realise that the Ad Genies mission is still at the beginning. Therefore it is necessary to direct missionary attention still towards those geographic areas and new geographic worlds where the gospel has not been preached, or has been preached but for different reasons peoples have lost the sense of faith and belonging to the church, those who believe and those who do not believe in Christ because they do not know him. And in those cultural situations that have remained outside the influence of the Gospel'. We will see that the Church is wholly missionary by nature as we shall see in the Trinitarian foundations, and beginning of the Church., it requires that there will be Ad Gentes missionaries for life, and through a specific calling (RM 32). It Express some activities of the missionaries the modem Areopagus. The church and her missionaries are called to preach the gospel and to liberate and to promote development through schools, hospitals, mass media, universities, and experimental forms through the Gospel message (RM 58). As an essential characteristic of missionary spirituality is intimate communion with Christ. We can not understand or carry out the mission unless we refer it to Christ as the one who was sent to evangelise (RM 88). The missionary is not the main agent of the evangelization we must be humble and acknowledge that " The Holy Spirit is indeed the principal agent of the whole of the Church's mission. His action is pre-eminent in the mission Ad Gentes"2 Lastly I will share something of my mission experience about mission Ad Gentes. On the other hand it gives many concrete issues how to understand and to work in the mission. Mission is Inculturation and dialogue, collaboration, mission promotion, justice and peace, attention to the person, service of authority, sharing of goods, undoubtedly big challenges for us Missionaries for the third millennium
