They have studied the aim at searching the general attitudes of the community towards
malnutrition among children and the difficulties they face. Data collection involved
experiencing life on the malnourished children in Mikinduri, interviewing mothers affected
a part from reading newspaper and analyzing secondary sources
In our research findings, we found out that malnourished children no matter how
disfigured or affected, they still belong to us and we value their lives and good health. The
children catered for by Muguna project have so far benefited from basic needs such as
shelter, clothing, nutritious foods, health education among others.
Finally my research is divided into five chapters. The first chapter examines the
background of the phenomenon of the malnourished children in Milcinduri area. Chapter
two focuses on the literature review. The third chapter explains the research methodology.
The fourth chapter deals with results and data analysis of our findings. It also proposes a
curriculum on how and what to teach the families. In the last chapter, we have the project
proposal which will try to implement our recommendations and suggestions hoping to give
an answer to this pressing problem.
