Abstract
Humanization promotion is a virtue we all needed to practice everywhere and daily. As health care givers, we all have to live the virtues that contribute to the well-being of all human kind. The effort to make alive to others our different faith and knowledge through the services we render to them. We render joyful services by showing love, solidarity and sympathy as some significance that contribute effectively in our pastoral care and evangelization among the sick and the needy. As we aim to help, the most abandoned sick person and the aged ones in our societies to also find meaning to their lives. To make evangelization more fruitful, this research work has put more emphasis on the promotion of human dignity, and to acknowledge life as a gift from God. Imitated by the Hospitaller Brother, the healing ministry of Jesus, “we commit ourselves to witness to the kindness, mercy and closeness of God to humankind” by recognizing that fullness of God’s present in every living life. Demonstrate St. John of God vision and mission through the way we receive our patients, our attentiveness in care for their needs, self-devotion and consciousness to other people’s life, placing human needs before other material needs, creating an environment of socializing and humanizing. In the chapters, which follow, takes an effort to explain some areas of responsibilities in our way of delivery care to people that needs to be reexamined. This is not the fact of denial and discouragements, which workers encounter sometimes in work places, but due to some small negligence of responsibilities towards the sick and poor people under our care. The irresponsible way of offering care to our fellow human beings suffering, especially, because of this “modern use of technology” which does not please God. Thus, our efforts of evangelization to the poor and sick are not fruitful to the church nor to the society. Therefore, with much effort we are being challenged to be more hospitable to our patients, more closely to them, being genuine in our relationship, caring with love, in order to make the Gospel of Christ alive in them. We aim to deliver holistic care to all human beings by promoting human dignity right from birth to natural death, as God wills it.
