Abstract
The Tangaza Update Team would like to wish you all
the best in your end of semester exams, a merry Christmas and
a happy new year. For those who hove cleared their academics
may God guide you in your respective ministry!
We also do wish to ask the Kenyans among us to exerse their democratic right come 27"' of December and to do so
a dignified manner. We oil do have an interest in these elections, Kenyan or not! As has been proved world over, elections can make or break a nation. Make the right choice, vote wisely.
We care, do you? Student life "We do not have an elected student government, but
we do have student leaders. We have strong leadership qualities in our student body".
These words by Fr. Tim were especially proved true in
the current semester. Besides getting into place a new and ro
bust SRC executive team, the student body engaged in many
activities that spell out the true character of the College.
Singing for Charity
Early in the semester, the Band (joined by the Charismatic group) gave a concert to the College, with the sole intention of raising funds to support those students who have difficulties making ends meet on a day-to-day basis. The concert was
colorfully advertised, showing the commitment of the band members. The collection of a little over Kshs 7,000 hos gone a long
way and stretched to meet the urgent needs.
Tangaza Justice and Peace commission (TJPC) was our
emissary of peace and love to the dejected of society out in
Murang'a, where they reinforced the anti-jigger campaign;
TJPC's Christmas gift is to the Coastal region, where the members have discovered that the peril of the jigger is also strongly
felt. The peer Counselors also worked with them. Hongera!
Rest In Peace
In times of sorrow, Tangaza stands together as one in
solidarity, under the banner of the cross. A very worthy and
honorable celebration of the life of our l" Year theology
brother, Theodore Nzengung MHM counts among the credits to
the student body.
Commendations for a colourful Cultural Day, the Sports
initiatives, Christmas party sharing with our neighbors and all
those other wonderful things Tangaza students have done as
individuals and groups, living out the Tangaza and Christian
identity.
