Abstract
The purpose of this study was to look at the relationships between employee job satisfaction and participatory management among staff members at the six Don Bosco Secondary Schools in Ethiopia. In every organization, participatory management is essential. Everyone in the organization is impacted by its management principles. Employee involvement in decision-making boosts job satisfaction and enhances organizational performance. In six Don Bosco Secondary Schools in Ethiopia, the research report looks into the mechanisms that connect participatory management and workers' job satisfaction. This study's four research goals were to analyze the relationship between communication and job satisfaction, investigate the relationship between cooperation and job satisfaction, assess the relationship between consultation and job satisfaction, and assess the relationship between codetermination and job satisfaction. This research was influenced by the theories of participation and shared decision-making. Within the quantitative paradigm, a correlational research design was used for the study. A sample of 165 of the 282 people that made up the target demographic were chosen as respondents. However, there were 157 participants in total. With the help of stratified random selection, the intended population was selected from schools. With the help of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences, frequencies and representations were used to evaluate and present the data (SPSS, version 23). The results showed that communication, consultation, and codetermination have positive relationships with each other, with r=.357/.000, r=.314/.000, and r=.407/.000, respectively. This means that the three variables have a significant impact on employees' job satisfaction in St. Don Bosco Secondary Schools. The study concluded that communication, consultation, and codetermination are extremely important in any organization, particularly in St. Don Bosco secondary schools, and that they must be fostered for the improvement of the institutions and the satisfaction of the staff in their places of employment. According to the study, management should value employees' input and create a suitable incentive system to recognize and reward their achievements. Employee participation in decision-making processes should also be increased. Additionally, there is a need for management and staff to enhance communication at all organizational levels
