Abstract
This project is a research based on "Teresa Gabrieli's educational philosophy as applied to the Education of the Marginalized Children." The main aim of the research was to highlight Teresa Gabrieli's Educational Philosophy, to find out practical ways of educating the marginalized children of the society and to discover and establish the role of an educator especially a Poverelle Sister, in the education of marginalized people. The study used the survey design for the purpose of acquiring the desired information from the respondents. Thus, forty-five people, including Sisters, collaborators (men and women); and children (boys and girls) were involved in the research. Nevertheless, the target population was the children. Questionnaires were used as the main instrument for primary data collection. Interviews were also used, specifically to the Sisters, for variation in data collection. From the research findings, it was discovered that the educational philosophy of Teresa Gabrieli is basically concerned with the promotion of marginalized people and that children at Nytunba ya Ntendere treasure the education they receive, since it is a means for them to come out of their marginalization and improve their lives. It was also seen that Nyumba ya Ntendere is a suitable place where physically disabled children are taken care of by the Poverelle Sisters, who apply the educational philosophy of Teresa Gabrieli, the Founder of their Congregation.
