Social media are computer programs and websites that enhance individuals' interactions and exchange of ideas and information through mobile phones and computers. This study explored the influence of social media on adolescent behaviour in the selected day secondary schools in Mathare North ward, Nairobi, Kenya. The study sought to bridge the gap in understanding social media and its effect on adolescent behaviour. The study had 216 participants of, males and females adolescents. The study used a purposive sampling method. Questionnaires were used to collect data. Data analysis was done using SPSS, and findings were presented in summary tables. Pearson’s (r) correlation was employed to examine the relationship between demographics and the use of social media platforms. Findings showed that 50.6% of the participants had low access to social media platforms, and 29.8% had moderate access to social media platforms. In comparison, 20.0% of the participants had high access to social media platforms. On aggressive behavior, findings showed that 51.0% of the respondents had moderate aggressive behavior, 28.3% had low aggressive behavior, and 20.8% had high aggressive behavior. Pearson ‘s correlation (r= -.224**, and P= 0.001) indicates a negative correlation between age and social media platforms. Also, results show that (r = .134*and P = 0.049) establish a significance positive correlation between gender and social media platforms. More findings indicate that (r = -.210**, and P = 0.002), meaning a negative correlation existed between class levels and social media platforms. The study established that F (1, 7577.736) = 4.036, P = 0.046, indicating that social media platforms influence adolescent behavior.en_US
