Single Mothers and the problems they face in upbringing Of their children.

Abstract

The initial problem the researcher intended to investigate was the state of being single mother and the problems they faces in bringing up their children more especially the youths. The research was to be localized in Kayole area, Soweto slums, though the researcher has managed to collect more information from other districts. By the use of questioners, interviews and the media, it was found that single mother's main and major problems are financial problems, social degradation and disciplining the children. To address their problem, the government and every member of the society is required to take the challenge and assist the single mothers rather than condemn them.
