    Factors That Influence Students Sense of Responsibility Towards the Care and Preservation of School Property

    This study was initiated and embarked upon with the view to investigating factors, which influence students' sense of responsibility, towards the care and preservation of school property. The research looked at the personal initiatives students make to care for school property. The research was conducted through use of questionnaires and inter\ iews to be able to establish the findings that have been exposed in this project. It has been established that students do not come out to destroy school property if they like their school. Thus it has been discovered aiso that, students will like their school depending on the kind of rapport that exists between them and their teachers and in deed among themselves. The study established that prior good relationship with parents at home is helpful in establishing good relationship at school and therefore being better prepared to care for school property. The study also found out that if students are taught good moral character and healthy ways of managing emotional stress, they would not participate in destroying school property even in times of crisis.
